UNIVERSITY OF LEICESTER CRICKET CLUB
The Club:
~ We have approximately 75 playing members, and around 20 social members. This membership is up 20% on last year
~ We have two competitive teams and a 3rd XI that plays friendlies.
~ The first two teams play in the BUSA Championships, which begin in April, and last until the third week in June.
~ We play every Wednesday and Sunday during the summer term, as well as holding twice-weekly practice sessions during the winter
~ The indoor section of the club is the one that is growing the most. We play in the Leicestershire Indoor League Premier Division, against local sides such as Lutterworth, Narborough & Littlethorpe, Loughborough Town etc.
Indoor Cricket:
~ Having won the BUSA Regional Tournament in November at Loughborough, where we defeated Nottingham, Derby and then Sheffield Hallam in the final, we are playing at LORDS on Saturday 17th March in the national finals.
~ We play indoor cricket throughout the winter, and it is an integral part of the season due to the shortness of the summer term.
